The Gruabn - this name gets storm fans of all generations excited. It conjures up images of sporting triumphs and tragedies, tough conditions and equally tough tackles, a lack of space and difficult ground conditions, and fighting, temperament and class. A cult stadium. Opened in 1919, the sports ground on Graz's Jakominigürtel served as SK Sturm's home ground for decades. To mark its 100th anniversary, the Graz Museum is commemorating the eventful history of the Gruabn, which is famous throughout Austria. On display are previously unpublished photographic documents from the early days, the best shots from the Foto Fischer archive, as well as original relics from the Gruabn, devotional items from fans, artistic contributions, football shirts, pennants, trophies and audio and visual stations. The KOEN Institute contributed the model of the Gruabn to the exhibition in collaboration with the architectural model workshop of the Faculty of Architecture.
