As at the Beginners Workshop 2024, the Beginners Workshop 2025 focused on the Terrassenhaussiedlung - one of Graz's best-known examples of brutalist, structuralist, and participatory post-war modernist residential architecture. During the first three days of their architecture studies, 170 students from the first semester engaged intensively with this residential building. On the first day of the workshop, all students visited the residential neighbourhood and made sketches, mappings, and photos. The information collected was then transferred into elevation drawings. On the second day of the workshop, the students began building a 1:20 scale model of the Terrassenhaussiedlung. On the third and final day of the workshop, the 15 m long, 10 m wide and, in some places, 2.20 m high model was exhibited in the hall of Kronesgasse and ceremoniously presented to the entire faculty.
