The students in the second semester had to deal with the topic of housing. With the help of different exercises, the students were encouraged to break with their familiar ideas of living which they had learned over a long period of time and to develop new living concepts. Building on their experiences, questioning what they had learned and absorbing new knowledge based on case study models, the students worked on designs for new living spaces for a specific defined user group. In the summer semesters of 2014 and 2015, the students developed a joint settlement on a plot of land in the Graz area, each with their own designs for courtyard, atrium, terraced or point houses. From 2016 to 2020, work was carried out on living spaces and communal areas in a shared high-rise structure.
