Designing for Societal Needs - Where Sports Meet Leisure / Sports Vision Leibnitz

Leibnitz is a town shaped by cultural tourism, with limited focus on sports and recreational activities. For this reason, this master’s thesis aims to design a sports and leisure centre. Within the district, particularly in the field of tennis, there is a high concentration of sports clubs. However, these clubs lack a suitable sports and leisure centre for all age groups. This would enable the town of Leibnitz to offer significantly more infrastructure and consequently enhance the quality of life. Special attention was given to social sustainability. Finally, materials were selected and compared based on their ecological and economic value.
