The task The Cut Through House is the first part of the Construction seminar. For most students it is the first time that they have to draw a floor plan, a view and a section in a specific scale. The students have to cut through a model of a house by the architects Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky and Clemens Holzmeister from the Werkbundsiedlung in Vienna in the scale of 1:100 made of polystyrene once horizontally and once vertically with the help of a polystyrene cutter. In the second part of the task, the now visible edges must be represented in the form of analog plans.
