An invention can be described as the deliberate creation of something new, usually through the activities of research and experimentation. Invention can therefore be seen as an extension of the term discovery, which describes the accidental or deliberate detection of something that already exists. Invention refers to the highest level of construction and design, in which something architecturally new is created in the awareness of knowledge that has already been handed down.
