As part of the cooperation between Tongji University and Graz University of Technology, the Faculty of Architecture is invited to participate in the International Construction Festival in Shanghai every year. The participants from Graz University of Technology are selected from all second semester students in an internal competition process at the KOEN Institute. The selected students fly to Shanghai for a week and take part in the international competition. There they gain experience and make discoveries in an unfamiliar culture and environment. During the competition, the students have to learn to react spontaneously to the unknown, to design something in a very short time and to work together in a very concentrated manner.
