During the seminars at the KOEN Institute, the models of all students are repeatedly placed next to each other and are publicly discussed. It is a simple method to show the students that there is not just one solution to a design task. There are as many design solutions as there are students in the room. The students recognize in a simple way that there are no exactly right or wrong design decisions, there are only better or worse ones. The students can compare their work and thus learn to better assess their skills. An important aspect of the public discussions is also to practise arguing the own design decisions.
