In the summer semester of 2022 for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic an excursion for the second semester students took place outside of Graz. 139 students and ten lecturers travelled for five days to Trieste to explore the city and its surroundings. Trieste was experienced and researched by daily walks and various tasks like sketching and filming. The excursion was rounded off with a bus tour to the idyllic village of Muggia, to the brutalist residential building Quadrilatero di Rozzol - Melara on the outskirts of Trieste and to the church Santuario Mariano di Monte Grisa high above the city. The first excursion after the pandemic ended with a party on Trieste's city beach.
