In the summer semester of 2025, 165 students from the 2nd semester made their way to Stuttgart to explore the city in the southwest of Germany for five days. The program included numerous buildings from almost 100 years of architectural history. The students were surprised by the architectural diversity that Stuttgart has to offer. Among other buildings, they visited a residential building by Le Corbusier at the Werkbund Estate from 1927, the Institute for Lightweight Structures by Frei Otto from 1965, the State Gallery by James Stirling, opened in 1984 and an icon of postmodernism, the Porsche Museum by Delugan Meissl Architects from 2008 and the State Library by Lederer Ragnarsdóttir Oei Architects from 2020. In line with the Subject Matter Educational Space, the first Waldorf school campus in the center of Stuttgart was visited. The students explored and documented the city and buildings using sketches, mappings and photos.
