In 2019 the excursion in the second semester took place in Slovenia and Croatia with a short trip to Trieste. The architecture students spent five days exploring the architecture of the coastal region of Istria and the Kvarner Bay and its small towns. They travelled together in three buses organised by the KOEN Institute. The students were able to visit several projects along the way, such as the EU Space Center by architects Tina Gregoric and Aljosa Deklava in Slovenia. They stayed in a hotel complex on the coast of Istria, which served as the starting point for the day trips. During the excursion the students hat to train their architectural know-how by sketching and developing mappings. The end of the excursion was celebrated with a big party at the hotel.
