In the summer semester 2021 the excursion in the first year of study also had to take place in the near surrounding of the students home due to the coronavirus pandemic and the associated travel restrictions. All second-semester students explored the city of Graz for a week with joint city walks and various sketching exercises at selected places. In this way the students were encouraged to see and perceive their own everyday surroundings with new eyes. The aim was to focus on what is architecturally relevant in the city of Graz. An architectural excursion on their own doorstep. Similar to the Vienna excursion, this time the students were also surprised at how they were able to discover their own city in a completely new way through the architectural focus of an excursion.
