Grünet 35 - A Farm in Transition

The present master thesis deals with a concrete vacant farm in Lower Bavaria on the border to Austria and the Czech Republic. This vacancy is a characteristic example of the situation in agriculture, in which structural and demographic change has been noticeable for decades. This master thesis goes in for the attempt to reintegrate the farm with its subsequent use into the village structure and thus becomes part of life around it. The concept combines regionality with agricultural production and processing, conveying regional knowledge and social life. A village courtyard that opens its gates and is connected beyond the boundaries of the property.
