New Over Old - Vertical Densification as a Means of Urban Development Using the Example of Münzgrabenstraße / Jakomini

Issues such as urban sprawl, increased land consumption, and urbanization necessitate reconsidering the densification of already well-connected areas, as the creation of new housing is essential for a city's growth. This work explores various aspects of densification and attempts to demonstrate, using the example of one of Graz's oldest streets - Münzgrabenstraße in the Jakomini district - the opportunities vertical densification offers for urban spaces.
