During the first three days of their architecture studies 148 students created a sculpture on the terrace, in the hall and in the courtyard of Kronesgasse. For the constructions of the sculpture the students had 810 wooden beams and 360 sheets of cardboard at their disposal. As in the Beginners Workshop 2018, initial ideas were tried out using simple working models. The work focused on routing, lighting and construction. Step by step, the individual designs of the small groups were developed into a joint large design and realized on a scale of 1:1. By continuously revising and translating the ideas into different types of representation and scales, the students were able to make their first discoveries and gain experience in architectural design. At the end of the workshop all students had to present their first work.
