For 200 architecture students the first semester started with the Beginners Workshop in October 2023. Divided into 12 studio groups the students had to design a labyrinth made of paper, wooden strips and cardboard in the first two days. On the third day they had to build their designs on the site of Club Hybrid at Herrgottwiesgasse 161 on a 1:1 scale using wooden slats and black fabric. The aim was to develop a construction that looked as uniform as possible and to build an exciting walk-in sculpture. Finally, the students presented their ideas and the publicly accessible labyrinth was opened with a large buffet and music.
